Adsense is Looking Better

Well it looks as though Adsense may be back on track and fixed! Im still not 100% certain that everything is running how it should but I can now see the channels again and even see the earnings!

But, it turns out that I wasn't tracking Adsense correctly on one of the proxies (www.webstartspot.info) so I couldn't pull any stats off it.

I will have an update on earnings in a couple of days. Stay tuned for more!

Adsense Still Playing Up

The good news is im still making money through Adsense - the bad news is - I have no idea where!

My channels are now displaying but the page impressions are way off. At this stage I would have liked to tell you how much my 3 brand new proxy sites are making (or not making) but unfortunately I can't.

In completely unrelated news - I discovered how powerful a marketing tool facebook can be. It turns people actively follow you on Facebook and so when I change my relationship to not being sinlge, I got a flood of messages asking who it was. Realising this power, I decided to change my website that was listed on Facebook, and sure enough I got a ton of hits from FB. Nice!

Thats about all the writing I can manage for now as I think I might be having caffeine withdrawal symptoms - a coffee and a red bull should fix that.

I Lied

Last post I mentioned that I couldn't be bothered to research why Google Adsense wasn't showing channel data (channels let you precisely track which ads where are performing). Well I lied and pretty much did the research straight away. And it turns out it isn't just me! Check out this forum thread http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=527663

Although Adsense is still tracking earnings this could end up costing me a lot of money as I am auctioning a fairly big site and am unable to show current Adsense stats.

WTF Adsense?

Obviously I am relying on Google Adsense for monetizing the proxy network - but when Adsense doesn't display stats for your channels, you start getting worried.

Has Adsense changed its layout or is something not working. Im not in the mood to actually research this so Im just going to sit on it for a while

Finished the First 3

Ok, I have just finished building my first 3 proxies. And it took less then an hour!

I also managed to do a little promotion - including stumbling all 3 and submitting them to some Yahoo groups that list new proxies.

My goal for the first two days is to make just $0.20 off each. If I can do that, then it won't be hard to make these go vial and explode!

Three's Easy

Here's a tip. Start with 3 and expand! Im not just talking about proxies im talking about everything. 3 just seems to work.

So using my always reliable 3 method,I registered 3 domains that I thought would do well for proxies. I also went for .info's. I wanted to start out with as little capital as possible and with a current sale at GoDaddy the 3 domains came to a grand total of $9.57 - nice!

Domains are:

www.mystartspot.info
www.startspots.info
www.webstartspot.info

Can you see why I chose these keywords? These are memorable domains which are all easy to type (try it) as well as giving the impression this website should be your first port of call.

Hosting

For hosting im cheating by using my own servers. Sure this would be another expense when setting up a proxy network, but hey - I did say that I would use all my available resources. These are high speed servers, with a hugh bandwidth allowance and all the space I could ever need.

Script

Scriptwise im going for PHPProxy (don't ask me where to get it as the developer no longer develops it). Im also using a 3 free designs from available.....somewhere on the intertubes. The designs look pro and also have good ad placement. Im testing out 3 different designs so I can gage which one is the most effective.

In The Beginning

In the Beginning there were no proxy networks, there was no way to go around school filters and you could forget about browsing MySpace during class.

But then, a new breed of websites were born - "The Proxies".

These websites allowed the deprived school children visit any website during class - but was it really for the children?

Oh no it wasn't! See, sazzy webmasters soon discovered that placing lots of ads on the proxy page could make them very rich and soon even the not so sazzy were making money from this new breed.

So where do I come in, and what the hell is this blog?

Im Anthony, an Australian internet marketer and journalist. I have worked on many a website and have had a great deal of experience in internet marketing. And after discovering the opportunities available in proxies, I thought "why not start a proxy Anthony?" and so i said "ok". And so this website was born.

Lets get down to business.

I plan to build an entire proxy network with over 30+ proxies. Each proxy will cross-promote the others and will be filled with lots of advertising. I will promote the network using just about every promotional trick I have up my sleeve as well as utilising my domain parking network of over 1000+ domains. I'm aiming to make each proxy earn just $3 per day, which works out to be $90 per day for all websites.

But lets set some ground rules.

Im not going to pay for advertising - not 1 cent. Im not going to spam - all advertising will be both legal and moral. I can't use any dirty tricks - like telling people to clicks ads (which is both against TOS and wrong). However, I will be using all of my available resources I own - thats websites, directories, blogs, etc.

Can I do it? Let the games begin!
